About the role

Join a mission-driven team at the forefront of cyber defense technology. As a Senior Cyber Machine Learning Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in cybersecurity and machine learning to develop innovative solutions that enable real-time threat detection and automated defense for federal, Department of Defense, and commercial clients. Your work will focus on building, training, and deploying production-ready models to identify advanced persistent threats, utilizing open-source tools, cloud resources, and continuous integration best practices. You'll stay ahead of emerging research, applying your curiosity and problem-solving skills to tackle complex, non-standard challenges in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, train, and deploy production-ready machine learning models for real-time cyber threat detection and automated defense
  • Apply expertise in cybersecurity and machine learning to address advanced persistent threats
  • Utilize open-source tools, cloud platforms, and continuous integration best practices
  • Solve complex, non-standard cybersecurity challenges using cutting-edge technologies

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in cyber threat hunting, security log analysis, and cyber compromise detection, including endpoint and network data
  • Proficiency in training, packaging, and deploying machine learning models using Python, Docker, Kubernetes, or Bash
  • Experience with SIEM technologies such as Splunk or ElasticSearch
  • Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and cyber intelligence platforms
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GovCloud), data streaming (Kafka, RedPanda), and ETL/data warehousing
  • Strong understanding of developing solutions for complex cybersecurity challenges
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or PhD preferred
