Cyber Development Manager

About the role

The role will require travel across Canada and will have a heavy focus on our fast-growing Canadian broker partnerships. You will be required to work closely with the Development Leader to action the cyber sales strategy.

Although the role will not be directly responsible for underwriting, it will require close interaction with the underwriters to ensure that messaging is aligned with underwriting strategy and to gain insight on day-to-day interactions amongst our underwriters and broker partners.

Building the CFC brand and profile in cyber in the Canadian cyber market
Developing existing and new broker relationships, including on-boarding.
Participation in the delivery of presentations both in person and virtually
Working with marketing to develop sales support materials for broker partners based on market demand
Maintain extensive knowledge of key competitors in key trading territories
Identification of new go to market strategies for cyber
Frequent engagement with underwriting teams to align with underwriting strategy

Responsibilities

  • Create efficiencies and processes around management and engagement of broker relationships.
  • Empower broker partners through broker training and education to be experts in Cyber insurance.
  • Build the CFC brand and profile in cyber in the Canadian cyber market.

Requirements

We're looking for driven, self-starters with a strong work ethic. You should have good knowledge of cyber as a class of business and proven business development capability. You will have strong business development experience from either broking or underwriting, as well as excellent knowledge of the broker and cyber landscape in Canada. You will have an excellent understanding of both Canadian insurance conventions/practices and insurance fundamentals and best practices from an agency management perspective.

Qualifications

  • Strong business development experience from either broking or underwriting.

  • Adequate understanding of Canadian insurance conventions/practices and insurance fundamentals and best practices from an agency management perspective.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and other stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the Canadian insurance market and its dynamics
  • Ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
