Cyber Defense Analyst
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Defense Analyst to support a company focused on delivering enterprise cyber defense, network operations, and cybersecurity strategy services for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Defensive Cyber Command Center (DCDC). This position is on-site at Fort Meade, MD.

The Cyber Defense Analyst will provide strategic cybersecurity analysis, enterprise defense recommendations, and operational support across the DoD Information Network (DODIN). This role serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, helping shape cyber defense strategy and enhance mission readiness across global operations. Responsibilities
- Develop and provide enterprise defensive cybersecurity strategies across cloud, network boundaries, cross-domain solutions, and endpoint technologies.
- Analyze architectures, technologies, policies, and operational data to identify vulnerabilities, anomalous activity, and cybersecurity improvement opportunities.
- Deliver executive-level briefings and strategic recommendations to senior military and government leadership, including General and Flag Officers.
- Conduct cyber situational awareness activities and provide operational recommendations to improve visibility, response, and defensive posture.
- Support enterprise-wide threat analysis, countermeasure development, and cybersecurity operations across cloud environments, gateways, internet access points, and endpoint infrastructures.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience supporting cybersecurity, network operations, enterprise IT, cyber defense, or related technical environments.
- Experience with cloud technologies, including IaaS and PaaS environments, enterprise networks (LAN/WAN/CAN), data centers, and cybersecurity architectures.
- Strong analytical, technical writing, policy development, briefing, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to engage senior-level military and executive stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance required.
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE) required.
- One or more industry certifications preferred/required, including Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, VMware, Oracle, Cisco, ITIL 4 Foundation, PMP, Agile/Scrum, CISSP, or related credentials.
- Experience supporting Joint Commands, Operations Centers, DISA, DoD networks, military decision-making processes, and SAFe/ITIL environments.
Pay
Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 depending on experience
