Cyber Defense Analyst

About the role

Responsibilities

• Analyze and respond to alerts from multiple sources to identify potential incidents
• Conduct investigations to identify indicators of compromise and establish scope
• Perform event correlation using enterprise data to develop situational awareness
• Coordinate containment and response activities with CSIRT team members
• Maintain meticulous case management and documentation to support incident dispositions
• Participate in rotational activities across incident response, cyber threat hunting, and detection engineering
• Contribute to case reviews and identify opportunities for improved investigation processes and automation
• Create and update investigative process documentation to ensure consistency and efficiency

Requirements

Experience conducting cybersecurity investigations or related activities, demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, familiarity with SIEM systems and a broad set of security tools and investigation-supporting datasets, understanding of security and privacy fundamentals, strong organizational skills, collaborative mindset, and ability to build relationships across teams, strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay

$36.62 - $45.77/hour

Schedule

The role is Hybrid — 2 days in the office (Wednesday–Saturday schedule) based in Lehi, UT.
