CWO LCAT 1 Weekday Swing Shift (1pm - 11pm)
About the role
We are seeking a Cyber Security Watch Officer for a weekday swing shift position. The selected candidate will be responsible for the real-time synchronization of enterprise operational actions and activities. This role involves maintaining knowledge management tracking to provide situational awareness of cyberspace operations, tracking cyber operations forces, and analyzing operational reporting to improve situational understanding and unity of effort.
Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM tools for alerts, reviewing alerts from IDS/IPS and firewalls.
- Perform troubleshooting to mitigate risks and document incidents.
- Execute continuous network monitoring and resolve incidents or problems.
- Leverage intelligence and operational data to identify threats, improve security, and reduce enterprise vulnerability.
- Triage events and incidents, and develop specific trends.
- Support various collaborative forums for vulnerability scoring and mitigation methodology.
- Provide situational understanding of the assigned operational environment.
- Support the development, coordination, release of, and compliance with, orders.
- Provide threat analysis and track relevant prioritized incidents.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Must be able to obtain/maintain a DOD Top Secret SCI Clearance. Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, Associate's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Certifications: IAT Level II (e.g., Network+ CE, Security+ CE, CySA+, CND, CASP+ CE) or IAT Level III certification.
- Technical Skills: Experience with SIEM tools such as ArcSight, Splunk, or Wireshark. In-depth knowledge of network and application protocols, cyber vulnerabilities, and exploitation techniques. Familiarity with cyber threat and adversary methodologies (TTPs).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with DISA and related networks. Knowledge of the orders process within a government environment. Demonstrated experience briefing senior leadership. Experience in building extended cybersecurity analytics. Experience in intelligence-driven defense or cyber kill chain methodology.
