About the Role

Acuren is currently recruiting for CWI's to support our operation across the West Region. The CWI provides advanced technical oversight and ensures consistent application of visual inspection standards. They review and approve inspection procedures, interpret complex specifications, and make accept/reject decisions on critical components. This role may also involve serving as a project lead, providing technical direction to lower-level inspectors, and liaising with engineering, quality, and client representatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical oversight and ensure consistent application of visual inspection standards
• Review and approve inspection procedures
• Interpret complex specifications
• Make accept/reject decisions on critical components
• Serve as a project lead (for Level III inspectors)
• Provide technical direction to lower-level inspectors
• Liaise with engineering, quality, and client representatives

Requirements

• Valid CWI certification
• Certification of American Petroleum Institute Standards 510/570
• 5 – 6 years’ experience or 6+ years on-site experience
• In-depth working knowledge of API 510/570/653/CWI and ASME standards
• Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers
• Open to travel as needed

Qualifications

• Additional API 653 certification is a plus

Skills

• Extensive experience in inspection and technical oversight
• Mastery of certification requirements
• Strong knowledge of codes such as ASME, AWS, or API

Full-time, nested, and temporary positions are available. Pay is based on experience and certifications.
