Seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant with vein harvesting experience. Responsibilities Include Assisting in cardiothoracic surgical procedures such as CABG and other cardiac surgeriesPerforming endoscopic and open vein harvesting for bypass proceduresAssisting with chest and wound closures, hemostasis, and surgical exposureParticipating in preoperative and postoperative managementConducting inpatient and ICU rounds, managing post-operative patients, interpreting diagnostic resultsRemoving chest tubes, pacing wires, and surgical drains; managing complications; performing bedside proceduresProviding inpatient consultations in the Cath Lab and assisting with cardiovascular evaluations Qualifications Include Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with NCCPA certificationActive or eligible state PA licensure; BLS and ACLS certificationsMinimum 2 years of cardiothoracic surgery experience, with demonstrated vein harvesting expertise Additional details: Work alongside a surgeon and experienced PA, with inpatient and surgical duties, in a growing cardiovascular program. Skills required: Vein harvesting, perioperative patient management, surgical assistance, ICU care, diagnostic interpretation, and bedside procedures.
