CV Interventional Technologist - Cath Lab

Responsibilities

• Performs vascular procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
• Performs a variety of highly specialized cardiac, vascular, or interventional procedures that require independent judgment to apply prescribed techniques to obtain the best possible diagnostic and therapeutic results.
• Assists in completing reports of various types, including but not limited to, CCSS, charge sheets, patient requisitions, and transport patients.
• Maintains universal precautions and administers contrast material according to orders.
• Selects and assists physicians with necessary equipment during procedures.
• Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact.

Qualifications

• Experience in lieu of successful completion of an Allied Health postsecondary education program that is patient-care related, or equivalent experience.
• Successful completion of an Allied Health postsecondary education program that is patient-care related.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) or LP (Licensed Paramedic) license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written).
