CV Interventional Technologist - Cath Lab
Responsibilities
- Performs vascular procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
- Performs a variety of highly specialized cardiac, vascular, or interventional procedures that require independent judgment to apply prescribed techniques to obtain the best possible diagnostic and therapeutic results.
- Assists in completing reports of various types, including but not limited to, CCSS, charge sheets, patient requisitions, and transport patients.
- Maintains universal precautions and administers contrast material according to orders.
- Selects and assists physicians with necessary equipment during procedures.
- Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact.
Qualifications
- Experience in lieu of successful completion of an Allied Health postsecondary education program that is patient-care related, or equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of an Allied Health postsecondary education program that is patient-care related.
- ARRT-R (Radiography) or LP (Licensed Paramedic) license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written).
