CV C Line Operator

AmerCable is an ISO 9001:2015-certified manufacturer of jacketed electrical power, control, and instrumentation cables for the mining, oil and gas, and industrial markets. The company produces complex cable designs built to operate reliably in harsh environments, with all products made in El Dorado, Arkansas or Katy, Texas.

About the role

As a CV Slant Line Operator, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality electrical cable for the mining and oil and gas industries. You will operate and set up slant line equipment in both upstairs and downstairs production areas, ensuring products meet quality, safety, and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slant line equipment in both upstairs and downstairs production areas.
• Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to setups, calibrations, and alignments as required.
• Follow all safety rules, plant policies, safety standards, and safe work practices.
• Produce quality products by following work instructions, SOPs, One-Point Lessons, and training materials.
• Maintain compliance with 5S standards and support ISO 9001 requirements.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers to support production goals.
• Follow direction from supervisors and assist with additional duties as assigned.
• Adhere to the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct Standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate Degree, WAGE Certification, or relevant manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to safely and physically move materials as required.
• Ability to successfully complete and pass the lift truck operator safety course.
• Strong reading comprehension and basic math skills.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to operate a workstation computer.
• Ability to use stairs to access the upstairs operator area.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays when business needs require.
