Cutting Tool Engineer

Role Overview: Manage and enhance production line productivity and quality by optimizing cutting tool designs to achieve continuous improvement (SEQDCM). Key Responsibilities Lead tool budgeting, control, and analysis to ensure cost efficiency.Provide engineering support for troubleshooting tooling issues, develop tools, drawings, and holders.Perform and document tool analysis for ongoing improvements using sound engineering principles.Coordinate the development of cutting tools, tool holders, and machining processes for new models and technologies.Support internal tooling setup, regrind processes, and line-side trials to ensure quality targets.Lead collaborative meetings, negotiate with customers and suppliers, and communicate technical issues effectively.Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and product development teams to ensure balanced processing. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related experience.2-8 years of relevant experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD (2D & 3D), SolidWorks.Strong presentation, communication, organizational skills, and project management ability. Additional Details: Ability to convey manufacturing concepts, perform advanced mathematics, and read engineering designs. Some travel and overtime may be required. Sponsorship for employment visas is not available. Work Environment: Primarily office work with production floor involvement, including occasional travel and overtime as needed.
