Cutting Room Production Assistant

About the Role

This is an entry-level, trainable opportunity for candidates who are dependable, comfortable using computers, and interested in learning garment production, marker plotting, CAD-based workflows, and automated cutting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily cutting-room and apparel production activities.
• Learn to prepare and plot garment markers using computer-based CAD systems.
• Assist with marker layouts and production documentation.
• Potentially train to operate Gerber automated cutting equipment.
• Assist with fabric handling, material preparation, and production setup.
• Follow production instructions and maintain accurate work.
• Keep work areas organized and support general cutting-room operations.
• Perform additional production duties based on training and skill level.

Requirements

• Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; training will be provided.
• Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
• Prior CAD experience is not required.
• Garment, sewing, textile, apparel, or clothing-production experience is a plus.
• Fast learner with strong attention to detail.
• Able to follow instructions and work independently after training.
• Comfortable standing for most of the workday.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.

Candidates may be cross-trained in different production functions based on ability and business needs, with potential conversion to permanent full-time employment.

Pay

$17.00–$20.00/hr DOE

Schedule

Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

Overtime: May be available based on workload
