Responsibilities
- Assist on compliance projects for major clients and provide Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualification of goods.
- Communicate professionally with team members, clients, suppliers, and government representatives.
- Complete FTA determinations and reviews, identify solicitation and classification workload needed for qualification.
- Affiliate with Trade Program projects, audits, and verification programs.
- Review and maintain database integrity by utilizing various client and provide software to organize and manage the workload.
- Provide brokers and clients with FTA document support, create reports, and assist in drafting compliance processes and related work instructions.
- Liaison with significant business partners on Customs compliance issues and provide effective and diplomatic internal and external customer service.
- Apply your skills with Microsoft utilizing programs such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
- Show meticulous attention to detail by ensuring accuracy and decision making.
- Drive results in a fast-paced environment. Maintain a well-organized calendar to balance meetings, tasks, and future initiatives.
- Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management/Transportation/International Business, or related discipline.
- US Customs broker’s license and/or CCS designation preferred but not required.
- Minimum 3 years of qualification experience with expert knowledge of FTA Rules of Origin and RVC calculations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools with advanced knowledge of Excel and Access (preferred).
- Professional and mature demeanour.
- Good research and analytical skills with strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
