About the role

  • Aid in compliance projects for major clients
  • Qualify goods under Free Trade Agreements (FTAs)
  • Assist with Trade Program projects, audits, and verification programs
  • Maintain database integrity using various client and software tools
  • Support brokers and clients with FTA document needs, create reports, and assist in drafting compliance processes
  • Liaise with business partners on customs compliance issues and provide excellent customer service
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Access
  • Show attention to detail and make accurate decisions
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain an organized calendar
  • Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively

Responsibilities

  • Complete FTA determinations and reviews
  • Identify and manage solicitation and classification workload for qualification
  • Assist with Trade Program projects, audits, and verification programs
  • Review and maintain database integrity
  • Support brokers and clients with FTA document support, create reports, and assist in drafting compliance processes
  • Liaison with business partners on customs compliance issues
  • Provide effective and diplomatic internal and external customer service
  • Apply good written and verbal communication skills
  • Use Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Access
  • Show meticulous attention to detail by ensuring accuracy and decision making
  • Drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain a well-organized calendar to balance meetings, tasks, and future initiatives
  • Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management/Transportation/International Business, or related discipline
  • US Customs broker’s license and/or CCS designation preferred but not required
  • Minimum 3 years of qualification experience with expert knowledge of FTA Rules of Origin and RVC calculations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools with advanced knowledge of Excel and Access (preferred)
  • Professional and mature demeanour
  • Good research and analytical skills with strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Legally eligible to work for the Company at all times
  • Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel if required to other offices locations in CAD/USA/MEX

Qualifications
