Customs Compliance Analyst

About the role

This is a remote position responsible for ensuring brokerage activities comply with U.S. Customs regulations and trade laws, using auditing, data analysis, and systems expertise to identify risks, resolve discrepancies, and uphold accurate entry filings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with U.S. government regulatory agencies including CBP, FDA, EPA, and USFWS
• Perform audits of customs entries and brokerage activities
• Examine import data to identify trends, risks, and discrepancies
• Utilize systems and data (ACE, ABI) to confirm accurate filings, address errors, and enhance workflows
• Create reporting tools and dashboards for leadership to assist in oversight activities
• Leverage technology and data to improve efficiency and recommend process enhancements
• Partner with IT, operations, and compliance teams to implement systematic compliance controls
• Stay up to date on regulations, guidelines, and company requirements

Requirements

• Licensed US Customs Broker (LCB) required
• 3-5 years of experience in trade compliance and brokerage
• High school diploma/GED required, degree preferred
• Knowledge of the import entry process with CBP and other agencies
• Solid understanding of HTS classification, country of origin, FTA, valuation methods, and AD/CVD

Skills

• Excellent auditing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and Access
• Adept at using business intelligence and SQL to analyze compliance data
• Familiar with trade compliance software such as UMUS, e2open, ABI, and ACE
