About the role

The Amazon Customs & Trade (ACT) team plays a critical role in ensuring global supply chains move efficiently and compliantly. This role involves owning daily customs clearance operations across various modes of transport, working closely with freight forwarders, sellers, and vendors to ensure accurate documentation, timely entry filing, and full regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Verify completeness and accuracy of customer onboarding documentation and commercial records
  • Prepare and submit import documentation to regulatory agencies to ensure timely release and delivery
  • Perform accurate data entry for entry filing, tariff classifications, and inspection records
  • Maintain shipment clearance status and manage issue escalation with freight forwarders and logistics partners
  • Generate and track delivery forms, ensuring all compliance requirements are met
  • Meet daily and weekly KPI targets for entry submission accuracy and timeliness
  • Serve as a second-tier support for Customer Service escalations related to cross-border shipments
  • Collaborate with origin and destination logistics teams to resolve shipment issues end-to-end

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Excel at a basic level
  • Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
  • Experience performing accurate data entry and analysis
  • Experience in international logistics, cross-border transportation and supply chain, or U.S. Customs rules and regulations
  • 2+ years of customs entry writing experience with a proven track record handling complex, high-value shipments

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or business
  • Licensed customs broker
  • Experience in customs

Pay

The starting pay for this position is listed below. Final starting pay will be based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

  • USA, - 19.00 - 33.00 USD hourly
  • USA, TN, NASHVILLE - 17.00 - 30.00 USD hourly
