Job Description
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive documents.
- Prepare customs entries in Customsware or other customs software.
- Understand the elements of the Import & export customs SOP.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into operating systems.
- Ensure timely customs clearance of shipments.
- Monitor customs clearances and communicate with Customers.
Physical Demands
- Use of standard office equipment - computer with keyboard and mouse, phone, fax/copy/scan machine, etc.
- Write with pencil/pen/marker.
- Functions performed primarily while seated at desk.

Timely and Accurate Shipment Processing

- Follows customer's standard operating procedures and proactively notifies customers of any issues.

Timely and Accurate Data Entry
- Ensures accurate and timely data entry into our operational systems according to Expeditors' operational procedures and customer requirements.
- Maintains data integrity by monitoring exception reports and resolving issues promptly.
Timely and Accurate Billing and Accounting
- Invoices customers the expected charges timely and accurately and according to Expeditors and customer requirements.
- Properly provisions service provider charges to avoid reserves.
- Follows proper credit approval processes in order to minimize risk and protect the company.
Qualifications
- Global logistics industry knowledge.
- Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word).
- Fluent in English.

- Customs Brokerage Lead Agent, Supervisor and Manager.

- Base Pay Range $19.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience.
