About the role

The Customer Support Engineer, reporting to the Head of Customer Support Manager and working closely with the engineering teams, is vital to the successful delivery of Whitefox customer satisfaction. The position requires a pragmatic person with high performance orientation and experience analyzing process data. You will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, manage Customer Support enquiries, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Whitefox Blueprint values, standards, and safety culture to customers and external stakeholders during site visits and support activities.
  • Promote safety in your work above all else.
  • Support existing industrial membrane installations, including process and procedure improvements.
  • Communication and collaboration with the process design team and detail engineering team.
  • Ongoing operations procedure guidance and plant troubleshooting.
  • Gather, analyze, and report membrane and process performance data.
  • Develop training material(s) and mentor/train operations personnel on-site.
  • Provide onsite customer support presence at industrial plants, laboratories, and supply chain partners as required.
  • Participate in onsite commissioning activities of new membrane installations.
  • Represent Whitefox at tradeshows and conferences.
  • Collaborate with sales teams for existing customer engagement & strategy alignment with new customers.
  • Manage inventory and sourcing of replacement cartridges while facilitating efficient repair services.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering discipline from an accredited university.
  • 1 – 3 years industry experience.
  • Understand the basic principles of heat and material balance.
  • Strong MS Office familiarity, MS Excel in particular.
  • Basic understanding of industrial equipment, e.g., pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, etc.
  • Familiarity with ethanol production a plus.
