Customer Success Specialist

About the role

We're looking for a Customer Support Specialist to join our team supporting small businesses. In this role, you'll be the friendly, knowledgeable voice our customers turn to as they get up and running on our platform and keep their accounts healthy over time. You'll wear a few hats — support, onboarding, and light collections — so we're looking for someone who's organized, comfortable with numbers, and genuinely enjoys helping small business owners succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day customer support to small business clients via phone, video conference, email, and/or chat
• Guide new customers through onboarding, helping them set up and understand all of our systems and tools
• Troubleshoot account and platform issues, escalating when needed
• Conduct occasional collections calls on past-due accounts (low volume) with professionalism and empathy
• Track and follow up on open customer issues to ensure timely resolution
• Identify patterns in customer questions or pain points and share feedback with the team
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in our CRM/support tools

Qualifications

• Comfortable with numbers — you're not intimidated by account balances, statements, or basic financial concepts
• A self-starter who takes initiative and doesn't wait to be told what to do next
• Strong multitasking skills; you can juggle multiple customer conversations and priorities without dropping the ball
• Tech-savvy — you pick up new software and tools quickly and are comfortable working across multiple systems at once
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A calm, professional approach to sensitive conversations (like collections calls)
