About the role

This role is for a smart generalist who will become an expert on Agave's product and lead customer implementations. You will guide customers through their Agave journey, working closely with engineers, and join a fast-growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Solutions Engineer: configure Agave tool to integrate seamlessly with customers' systems of record, solving unexpected needs and troubleshooting quirks.
  • Customer Success: build deep relationships with customers, manage renewal cycles, expansions, and support escalations.
  • Product Manager: work 1:1 with customers, observe feedback, and prioritize improvements to streamline implementations.
  • Sales Engineer: serve as the technical expert in early sales conversations, leading demos and guiding customers through Agave's solution.
  • Customer Discovery: lead technical demos and position Agave in the context of customers' systems.
  • Customer Onboarding: own customer onboardings end-to-end, train them on Agave, and create comprehensive docs.
  • Project Management: manage customer implementations, troubleshoot issues, and identify feedback and weak areas of the product.
  • Process Improvement: build tooling, templates, and automation to scale onboarding across hundreds of customers.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience at a SaaS startup (highly preferred) OR experience at a top consulting firm / elite company with clear interest in joining an early-stage startup.
  • Aptitude or demonstrated skill in structured troubleshooting, systems thinking, and context-specific communication.
  • Nice to have:
    • Hands-on experience with b2b SaaS software implementations.
    • Hands-on experience demoing SaaS software to potential customers.
    • Familiarity with the construction industry.
    • Experience with accounting concepts.
    • Experience working with APIs, SQL, Postman, or similar tools.

Qualifications

  • No need to have:
    • Experience with Construction or at B2B SaaS/dev tools companies.

  • Curious: able to learn industry jargon and answer in-depth questions from construction CFOs within 3 months of starting.
