About the role

Pinal County seeks a dedicated individual to provide excellent customer service and support to the public. This role requires an individual to be able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations for disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a dynamic environment that requires adaptability and responsiveness to changing goals, priorities, and needs.
  • Answer telephones continuously to minimize client hold times.
  • Maintain a database by entering client and/or patient confidential information.
  • Inform clients and citizens of community and county resources.
  • Determine eligibility and provide accurate scheduling.
  • Maintain the database by entering and verifying information and inputting all data into the system.
  • Clarify desired information to answer all inquiries while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One (1) year of clerical and computer experience.
  • A valid Arizona Driver’s License upon hire; newly established Arizona Residents must have one within 30 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Business English, spelling, and arithmetic.
  • Knowledge of clerical and office practices and procedures.
  • Skilled in using data processing systems and other office equipment and machines.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public.

Physical Demands

  • The work is sedentary requiring up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • The work also requires the ability to finger, perform repetitive motion, hear, speak, and demonstrate mental and visual acuity.

Pay

The hiring salary for this position is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and position funding; starting salaries above the first quartile require additional approval.
