About the role
The Service Advisor is responsible for communicating with customers about their vehicle repair needs and relaying information to the Service Technicians.
Responsibilities
- Greeting customers and helping them determine repairs and relevant costs
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge about Boss Shops range of services
- Contacting customers to update them about their vehicle's repair status
- Greeting customers promptly and providing friendly competent customer service
- Coordinating the service center's scheduling and workflow
- Service writing for the location including but not limited to: creating estimates and work orders, finalizing payments, following all cash handling policies, parts order, and collecting for all jobs
- Answering customer questions about service outcomes and consulting with the Technicians as needed
- Understanding marketing and sales strategies to finalize all transactions
- Consulting with Technicians about needed repairs and communicating those needs with the customer
- Comprehending the industry needs by increasing knowledge of products and services
- Understanding the customer's need and being able to communicate those needs to the Technicians and vice versa
- Responsible for keeping all customer facing items cleaned, stocked, and up to date
- Responsible for receiving merchandise, stocking, and updating pricing for all showroom products
- Maintaining a complete understanding of the Boss Shop Warranty process
- Assigning work to all technicians within the guidelines of the company
- Practicing and adhering to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees and customers
- Reporting for work in a timely manner when scheduled
- Assisting with other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's license and insurable to drive
- Able to maintain working knowledge of parts inventory
- Able to complete the Service Advisor New Team Member Training within the first 90 days of employment
- Able to work on the computer system efficiently
- Ability to read, write and perform math skills
- Must possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to change when required
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, may require weekends and evenings
- Must have reliable transportation and phone
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service
- Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members
Pay
$16.00 - $25.00 per hour depending upon qualifications and experience.
