Responsibilities

Sales and Cashier

• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting customers, escorting them to fitting rooms, and returning clothing to the floor
• Motivate and inspire others to adopt initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program
• Maintain organized stockrooms and complete all inventory processes, ensuring merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
• Keep the sales floor "runway ready" through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
• Assist customers with a variety of transactions in a seamless and friendly manner
• Demonstrate expertise in all store technologies
• Defuse customer situations and provide timely, effective resolutions

Stock and Fulfillment

• Receive, unload, and unpack freight, delivering newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
• Prepare and ship customer orders following quality packing and shipping standards
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments
• Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
• Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures

Requirements

• Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills
• Accountability, initiative, and a high level of ownership
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds (and occasionally up to 50 pounds for Stock Support or Fulfillment roles)
• Flexibility to work a schedule based on business needs

Pay

Hourly pay range: $15.75 - $16.35, dependent on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
