Job Summary

We are seeking a SUPER STAR Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team. This role involves welcoming patients, managing registrations, and ensuring positive experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish and update accounts in the computer system.
  • Enter charges for self-pay, insurance, and eligibility programs.
  • Reconcile charges at the end of each day.
  • Determine patient eligibility for special programs.
  • Assist patients and visitors.
  • Answer telephones and identify self and clinic.
  • Understand insurance and eligibility programs, including TMHP and Availity.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Maintain 100% productivity rate.
  • Conduct and record patient financial reviews, billing, collections, and data summaries.
  • Assemble necessary medical/dental record forms.
  • Follow-up on no-shows.
  • Maintain excellent personal attire and comply with CentroMed appearance guidelines.
  • Absorb excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Assist clinical teams in patient assessment.
  • Participate in the agency's Quality Improvement Program.
  • Participate in outreach activities.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform essential functions of the position.
  • Must meet attendance requirements.
  • Must not pose a threat to the health or safety of others.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be able to deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • General experience working in a health care setting; and experience with medical data entry preferred.
  • Strong clerical skills, including keyboarding and basic math.
  • Computer knowledge and use of calculator.
  • Mental ability to conduct interviews, reconcile encounter reports, and conduct audits with a better-than-average attention to detail.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
