Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent personality, communication, and sales skills
- Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities
- Desire to succeed and grow into management
- Excellent spelling, computer, and data entry skills
- Ability to complete tasks effectively, efficiently, and thoroughly with little to no supervision
- Previous experience in customer service, collections, or the finance industry (a plus)
About the Role
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a key role in the operation of a consumer finance office. The company views all employees as potential branch managers, with top performers receiving first consideration for promotion.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers, take loan applications, and investigate credit
- Process payments, refinance loans, and manage delinquent accounts
- Send out advertising letters and complete other assigned duties
- Accurately fill out office forms and reports
- Maintain the master cash drawer, prepare bank deposits, and handle daily transactions
- Solicit loans via telephone and in-person at the counter
- Answer telephone calls, post customer payments, and input new/refinance loans into the loan software system
- Process loan applications and prepare refinance/delinquency mail
- Open and distribute mail, post counter payments, and provide customer credit information to creditors and credit bureaus
- Complete loan documents and close current refinance loans
- Prepare daily deposits of cash and checks
- Maintain and balance cash drawers daily
- Update the loan standard report daily
- Contact past-due customers by telephone
