Customer Service Representative

About the role

Shingle & Gibb Automation is seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative at their Amherst, NY location. This role involves handling high-volume email and telephone interactions, maintaining delivery performance, and providing timely communication throughout the quote and order processing stages.

Responsibilities

• Process quotes and orders for customers including expediting, model, part number, and pricing review.
• Update orders to comply with customer changes.
• Maintain delivery performance on orders, coordinating information and communication between customer, outside sales, and vendors.
• Provide timely communication back to the customer through all stages of the quote and order processing.

Requirements

• Ability to handle high volume of email and telephone interactions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills with a high proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite (formerly ‘Office’).
• Epicor P21 experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with distributorship operations is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to interface with all levels of management both internally and with external customers.
• Continuous learning of and training on product lines and technologies.
• Must have reliable transportation and a reliable internet connection (for hybrid/remote work).

Qualifications

• High school diploma.

Benefits

Flexible hybrid schedule during normal business hours Monday-Friday, with in-office training for the first couple months.

Pay

The expected rate of pay for this position is $22.00 per hour - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Monday - Friday; 8:15 am to 5 pm.
