Customer Service Representative

About the role

A successful Customer Service Representative must consistently demonstrate the company’s Mission and Values. You will need strong oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers, drivers, and other team members in person and on the telephone. The role requires a customer service-oriented and team-oriented mindset, good organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adaptability in a constantly changing atmosphere. A strong growth mindset is essential as we continuously strive to expand our business.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and developing business opportunities with the company's current customer base.
• Servicing customer's freight and shipment needs on a daily basis.
• Strategically planning customer's freight to ensure on-time service while balancing our driver's needs.
• Cultivating new business opportunities with prospective customers and freight brokers.
• Updating and maintaining various customer TMS portals.

Requirements

• Existing or prior proven experience in a corporate customer service role (Required).
• Supply Chain or logistics experience (Preferred).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (Highly desired).
• Proven experience and technical understanding of Microsoft Office Suite including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Teams, MS Outlook.
• A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate in a team environment.
• A strong sense of urgency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 1-3 years of experience in the field.
• Background in Marketing, Operations, Sales, or Supply Chain Management.
