About the Role

GreenWaste is seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Customer Service Representative to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our office at 14207 Del Monte Blvd, Marina, CA. The role’s main function is to provide effective customer service to all internal and external customers, employees, and affiliated companies of GreenWaste Recovery by utilizing knowledge of our company's products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and answer large amounts of customer service calls/questions and resolve calls in a timely manner.
  • Schedule deliveries, exchanges, and removals of containers.
  • Document all customer service in our company-specific database.
  • Maintain customer records by updating account information.
  • Email/mail service information to our customers.
  • Perform data entry duties and reporting.
  • Process credit card payments.
  • Assist Customer Service Supervisor with reporting, routing, billing, and other duties.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with current operating computer systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Proficiency in English and/or Spanish.

Skills

  • Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Ability to carry out instructions provided orally or in writing.
  • Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.
  • Strong communication skills using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Team player with the ability to work well with others.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift at least 10 lbs. using proper lifting techniques.
  • Ability to sit or stand as needed.
  • Reaching above the shoulder or below the waist.

Work Environment

Work shifts vary. Typical work week is Monday through Friday based out of the Marina, CA office. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
