Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare orders by pulling material from stock.
- Participates in the shipping of company goods to various customers.
- Verifies accuracy of shipments.
- Processes paperwork and signatures of shipments.
- Operates forklift, and tasks assigned in a safe and efficient manner.
- Pulls orders via pick ticket and handles pick ticket process.
- Loads and unloads delivery trucks for the purpose of receiving stock and preparing for transport.
- Maintains inventory and performs physical inventory for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying gains/losses.
- Cleans warehouse for the purpose of a safe and sanitary workplace.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately perform order entry process, to include product, quantity and price verification.
- Confirm orders placed by customers via phone/fax/internet.
- Perform stock and price checks for customers and other branches.
- Provide freight/shipment information (cost/tracking/etc) to customers/branches in a timely and accurate manner.
- Apply freight and handling expenses to orders so as to be able to effectively invoice customers for related expenses.
- Regularly follow up with customers as to the status of their order(s).
Qualifications
- At least two years of inventory handling and experience.
- Ability to perform and understand basic math and written procedures.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Able to meet deadlines and schedules with little supervision.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Warehouse experience is a plus.
- Florring or tile industry experience is a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Able to lift 50 to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
