Customer Service Representative

About the role

Pet Emergency & Referral Center (PERC) is seeking an experienced Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our growing team. We offer competitive compensation starting at $19.00–$21.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and referral partners
• Manage a busy multi-line phone system
• Schedule appointments across multiple specialty and emergency departments
• Check clients and patients in and out efficiently and accurately
• Cook up and coordinate medical records and communication with referring veterinary hospitals
• Serve as a liaison between clients and medical teams
• Support pet owners during emotional and stressful situations with empathy and professionalism
• Maintain accurate client and patient information within hospital systems
• Aid in administrative and front desk operations as needed

Requirements

• 2+ years of veterinary client service, veterinary reception, hospitality, or customer service experience
• Experience handling high-volume phone calls and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate during stressful situations
• Experience de-escalating challenging client interactions
• Strong computer and technology skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and hospital needs
• Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional client care
• Fluent English speaking and reading skills required

Pay

• $19.00–$21.00 per hour based on experience

Schedule

• Four 9-hour shifts per week
• Shift options include 6:00am–3:00pm, 9:00am–6:00pm, or 11:00am–8:00pm
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Weekly schedule will vary between 3-5 days per week, not to exceed 40 hours
