Customer Service Representative
This opportunity is with a large, established manufacturer in the packaging industry, operating out of a production facility in Salinas, CA. The Salinas area is a key hub for agricultural packaging given the region's produce and food processing industry, and this facility plays a role in supporting that supply chain. You'd be joining a site with established production, logistics, and quality processes, working alongside experienced operations and sales teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer accounts, including processing orders and handling inquiries
- Track order activity and monitor inventory levels to catch issues early
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and quality teams to keep orders on schedule
- Create and validate new item specifications for customer projects
- Research and troubleshoot customer issues as they come up
- Generate and share reports and account data with customers and internal teams
- Provide guidance and informal training to junior team members
- Act as the point of contact between customers and internal teams including sales, credit, collections, and production
Requirements
- Experience in a customer service or account management role handling order fulfillment and account tracking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for working across departments
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities at once
- Comfort working with data and reporting tools
- Experience resolving customer issues and coordinating solutions across teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Experience in production planning or logistics coordination
Pay
$27 per hour
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
