About the Role
Chevron Stations Inc (CSI) sells gasoline and convenience products at retail stations. We are seeking hard-working individuals who value safety, enjoy teamwork, and maintain a positive attitude. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, dependable, and able to work safely in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing customer focus.
Responsibilities
- Maintain courteous, professional contact with co-workers, customers, vendors, and the community.
- Adhere to CSI image standards for neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
- Follow established safety, security, and quality guidelines, as well as CSI policies, procedures, and programs. Report accidents or incidents immediately.
- Utilize the CSI Loss Prevention process to ensure safety for all in the workplace.
- Follow food safety hygiene, including sanitation, handling, preparation, storage, and disposal procedures per county regulations.
- Comply with federal law and company standards for carding customers purchasing age-restricted products.
- Work professionally with vendors and contractors.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Follow proper kitchen and sanitation procedures during cooking of Krispy Krunchy Chicken (KKC) products.
- Provide exceptional guest service, greeting and thanking customers while making eye contact.
- Conduct point-of-sale activities accurately and safely, including retail and fuel sales transactions.
- Maintain cash drawer at or below maximum level, secure funds, and perform cashier reconciliation at shift end.
- Perform consistent station cleaning of indoor and outdoor facilities, including restrooms, islands, pumps, and car wash (if applicable).
- Prepare food and hot beverage products, managing ExtraMile and/or KKC foodservice to maximize sales and minimize loss.
- Actively promote store specials and marketing programs.
- Cross-check prices of delivered goods for accuracy and stock shelves in retail and cooler locations.
- Observe local law requirements for fueling vehicles (Oregon only).
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Sufficient proficiency in English to understand CSI policies, safety training, job instructions, and communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
- Availability to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Required up-to-date food handling certificates, where applicable by law.
- Cooking or restaurant experience preferred.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods on hard and uneven surfaces.
- Ability to bend, lift, push, and move products using proper techniques; team-lift for objects over 25 pounds.
- Constant standing, bending, and reaching with moderate manual dexterity (Krispy Krunchy Chicken procedures).
- Work safely with high-temperature equipment using appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Periodic exposure to outdoor conditions during daylight hours.
- Moderate exposure to walk-in coolers and freezers at 34°F or lower.
- Frequent handwashing and adherence to personal cleanliness standards.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old for California and Oregon locations.
- Must be at least 21 years old for Washington locations, graveyard shifts (10 PM to 6 AM), and management positions.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Travel is rare and limited to required training or coverage for nearby stations.

Pay
Compensation range: $19.25 - $20.25 per hour.
