About the role
The Customer Service Representative position involves acting as a liaison between Buckland and its clients. This includes providing accurate and efficient information about products and services, answering questions, and resolving issues related to client accounts.
- Provide the highest level of customer service to clients, vendors, and service providers.
- Assist with the onboarding and administration of new customers, including setting up accounts in our systems, addressing inquiries, and offering solutions.
- Liaise with internal departments regarding potential client setups and inquiries.
- Manage Continuous and Single Transaction Bond activities for the US Northern Border Brokerage Division if applicable.
- Aid clients with import/export clearance of goods through applicable borders.
- Follow up promptly and professionally on client inquiries regarding shipment statuses.
- Review and prepare orders according to customer requirements and monitor the fulfillment process until completion.
- Identify and address areas to meet customer demands.

Qualifications and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CCS Designation (US NB and CND only)
- Minimum 2 years in customs brokerage or logistics experience
- Intermediate MS Office knowledge
- High level of organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Completion of complex entries
- Mexican Legislation in Foreign Trade Business knowledge (US SB, MX only)
- Bilingual in Spanish/English (US SB only)
Physical Demands
- Frequently read/comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, reason and analyse
- Occasionally bend, squat, kneel, reach above shoulder, and frequently sit, handle objects (manual dexterity), use fine finger movement
- Occasionally must carry/lift loads of up to 15 lbs
