Customer Service Representative

About the role
Responds to customer inquiries, expedites critical orders, communicates dispositions, researches and resolves issues, and researches orders. This role follows a hybrid work schedule, with in-office work required Monday through Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. During the first month, employees will work onsite full-time to complete training and onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Provide quote preparation, order tracking, backlog processing, invoicing, returns, discrepancy resolution, customer credit problems, and/or other support to sales team members and/or external customers (including order expediting, stock queries, reporting, and stock rotation).
- Identify, investigate, and participate in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, including key performance metrics.
- Ensure good customer relations are maintained and resolve customer claims and complaints fairly, effectively, and in accordance with consumer laws.
- Maintain and update electronic and/or hard copy records as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to develop process improvements for a wide variety of tasks.
- Consistently work on highly complex problems requiring independent action and decision-making, determining the best course of action to resolve issues and making recommendations for improvement.
- Work is performed with little to no guidance, assigned in the form of broad objectives, with significant creativity and ingenuity expected to recommend solutions to complex problems.
- May act as an informal team lead and/or coach less experienced team members.
- Frequent collaboration with management, external contacts, and/or other teams; may coordinate efforts with other departments for optimal efficiency and act as a point of contact internally and/or externally.
- Extensive computer, email, phone, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- May require fluency in more than one language.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a minimum of eight years of related experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
