Customer Service Representative
About the role
A.B. May is the premier Home Service supplier in the Kansas City area with over 60 years of experience. We are looking for a self-motivated Customer Support Specialist to join our Customer Care team. This position handles customer contact through incoming calls, helping customers with scheduling appointments, dispatching technicians to resolve home service concerns, and answering questions about home warranties or contracts. The role also involves outbound calls to customers about products, promotions, and scheduling service calls. Minimum two years of call center experience is required, along with a positive attitude and sunny disposition. A hybrid-remote work schedule is available after the training period is complete, and rotating weekend availability is needed.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound customer calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide information about services
- Call existing customers to inform them of promotions
- Schedule service appointments
- Maintain accurate customer records and update information in the database
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with services
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in home services or a related industry
- Minimum two years of call center experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Honesty, integrity, and a positive attitude
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
Beginning pay is $18–20 per hour with bonus opportunities.
Schedule
Hybrid-remote work schedule available after the training period is complete. Rotating weekend availability is required.
