Responsibilities
- Operate all store equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
- Prepare product (pizza, sides, etc.).
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Expedite carryout and delivery orders to vehicles.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Strong verbal communication skills to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to make correct monetary change.
- Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements (e.g., entering orders on a computer or touch screen).
Skills & Physical Requirements
- Essential Functions: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle repetitive tasks, and work under stress.
- Work Conditions:
- Exposure to varying temperatures (36°F in cooler to 90°F+ in work areas).
- Sudden temperature changes when moving between indoor and outdoor tasks.
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, sharp edges, and hot surfaces (ovens up to 500°F+).
- Cramped quarters, including walk-in cooler and tight workspaces.
- Sensory Requirements:
- Talking and hearing on the phone.
- Near and mid-range vision for tasks like reading orders and preparing food.
- Depth perception for handling equipment and ingredients.
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
- Physical Demands:
- Standing: Most tasks performed while standing.
- Walking: Short distances for short durations.
- Sitting: Limited to paperwork in an office area.
- Lifting: Up to 50 pounds (e.g., cases of ingredients, 30-pound sauce cans).
- Carrying: Trays of pizza dough (12 pounds per tray), small cans (3 lbs, 7 oz).
- Pushing/Pulling: Dollies with trays (up to 7.5 pounds of force).
- Climbing: Infrequent use of stairs or ladders for maintenance or sign changes.
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at pizza assembly station and front counter.
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally for stocking shelves or cleaning.
- Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like stocking, cleaning, or answering phones.
- Hand Tasks: Frequent use of hands for shaping dough, using pizza peels, cutting tools, and assembling boxes.
- Tools & Equipment: Pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels.
