What You Will Do

• Processes customer requests and payments
• Researches and reconciles customer account activity
• Negotiates payment arrangements for gas bills
• Provides information about governmental agencies and special assistance programs
• Analyzes customer usage and payment history
• Processes field service orders and customer payments
• Maintains logs and records including customer payments, duplicate bills, service orders, account adjustments, accounts requiring follow-up actions, bill breakdowns, customer complaints, and social service agency pledges
• May perform additional duties as assigned

What You Will Need

• Knowledge of use and function of office equipment applicable to position (keyboards, calculators, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Knowledge of customer service and collection policies and procedures
• Experience and training related to customer relations/interpersonal skills, deposit requirements/payment schedules, and Customer Service System applications
• Preferred: Driver's license
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 4-5 times a day, up to 20 pounds 1-2 times a day
• Ability to react immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others
• Ability to operate tools and equipment required
• Ability to communicate and exchange verbal and written information and instructions
• Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties
