Responsibilities

• Operate all store equipment.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
• Prepare product and receive/process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
• Training and orientation provided on the job.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Verbal communication skills to process orders over the phone and in person.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and ability to make correct monetary change.
• Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements, including using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Skills

• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for order processing.
• Ability to work under stress, meet quality control standards, and analyze data.
• Coordination for tasks requiring hand-eye precision (e.g., shaping dough, using pizza peel).

Work Conditions

• Exposure to varying weather conditions when performing outside tasks.
• In-store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F+ in work areas.
• Fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler).
• Hot surfaces/tools (ovens up to 500°F or higher) and sharp/moving mechanical parts.
• Tasks require talking/hearing on the phone, near/mid-range vision, depth perception, and ability to differentiate hot/cold surfaces.

Physical Requirements

• Standing: Most tasks performed standing; walking surfaces include ceramic tile/linoleum.
• Walking: Short distances for short durations.
• Sitting: Paperwork completed at a desk or table.
• Lifting: Unload deliveries (up to 50 lbs) using a hand truck; stack onto shelves up to 72" high.
• Carrying: Large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), or trays of dough (12 lbs per tray).
• Pushing/Pulling: Move trays on dollies (force up to 7.5 lbs).
• Climbing: Navigate stairs/ladder for maintenance or sign changes.
• Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at pizza assembly station (30–45 seconds continuously) and stocking ingredients.
• Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
• Reaching: Continuously up, down, and forward (e.g., oven controls, ingredients, cleaning).
• Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination essential; frequent use of hands for shaping dough, using pizza peel/cutter, and assembling boxes.
