Responsibilities
- Operate all store equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
- Prepare product, including shaping pizza dough and assembling orders.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Handle monetary transactions, including making correct change.
- Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written and verbal instructions.
- Strong communication skills to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) for handling transactions and inventory.
- Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements, such as handling pizza dough, using a pizza peel, and assembling boxes.
Work Conditions
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks (e.g., removing trash).
- In-store temperatures range from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F or above in some work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
- Exposure to fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler).
- Hot surfaces and tools, including ovens up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Tasks require near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
- Ability to work under stress, meet quality control standards, and handle repetitive tasks.
Physical Requirements
- Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces. Work surfaces range from 36" to 48" in height.
- Walking: Short distances for brief durations.
- Sitting: Paperwork is completed at a desk or table in an office area.
- Lifting: Deliveries include cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, lifted from the floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high.
- Carrying: Items such as 3-pound cans, 30-pound pizza sauce buckets, and trays of pizza dough (12 pounds per tray) over short distances.
- Pushing/Pulling: Moving trays on dollies, requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force.
- Climbing: Infrequent use of stairs or ladders for tasks like changing signs or performing maintenance.
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist is required at the pizza assembly station and when stocking ingredients. Duration can be 30-45 seconds at a time, repeated throughout the day.
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally required for stocking shelves or cleaning low areas.
- Reaching: Continuous reaching in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like turning oven controls, stocking shelves, scooping ingredients, or answering phones.
- Hand Tasks: Frequent and forceful use of hands, forearms, and wrists for shaping dough, using a pizza peel, cutting pizza, and assembling boxes. Requires strong eye-hand coordination and the ability to grasp various tools and items.

- Pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment.
- Pizza cutter, pizza peel, and other kitchen tools.
