About the role

PharMerica is hiring a Licensed Pharmacy Customer Service Technician in New Port Richey, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate communication between pharmacy, providers and facilities while resolving prescription issues in a timely, efficient, courteous, responsive, reliable, and respectful manner.
  • Answer and submit inquiries regarding patient information and medication therapies.
  • Take requests for refill orders, out on pass, patient discharge orders, and special delivery requests.
  • Absorb requests for facility and physician office communications.
  • Obtain patient information for our database by calling patient care representatives and physician offices.
  • Utilize judgement in knowing when to escalate issues to the management level.
  • Utilize various programs such as Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Complete assigned projects upon request in a timely manner.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year of previous experience with direct client communication - customer service.
  • Prior healthcare/pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Good oral communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.

Skills
