Customer Service Pharmacy Technician
About the role
PharMerica is hiring a Licensed Pharmacy Customer Service Technician in New Port Richey, FL.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate communication between pharmacy, providers and facilities while resolving prescription issues in a timely, efficient, courteous, responsive, reliable, and respectful manner.
- Answer and submit inquiries regarding patient information and medication therapies.
- Take requests for refill orders, out on pass, patient discharge orders, and special delivery requests.
- Absorb requests for facility and physician office communications.
- Obtain patient information for our database by calling patient care representatives and physician offices.
- Utilize judgement in knowing when to escalate issues to the management level.
- Utilize various programs such as Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Complete assigned projects upon request in a timely manner.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- One year of previous experience with direct client communication - customer service.
- Prior healthcare/pharmacy experience preferred.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Good oral communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.

Skills
