Ensures the Processing Team creates and submits accurate filing documents that align with customer requirements and applicable state regulations. Resolves or delegates filing-related tasks, tracks them through completion, and delivers final documents to customers. Supports organizational success by helping processing operations meet or exceed customer expectations and providing cross-departmental support. Continuously evaluates workflows, identifies improvement opportunities, and contributes recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Review orders and legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify company name availability with state departments.
- Prepare and file documents with the appropriate state and county agencies.
- Obtain Federal Tax Identification Numbers (EINs) from the IRS.
- Apply for S Corporation status with the IRS.
- Coordinate the publication of required notices with newspapers or journals.
- Process and manage rejected filings, including follow-up actions.
- Apply for approvals from various state agencies.
- Gather and research information from state, county, and online resources.
- Monitor and follow up on order status with CT offices and agencies.
- Scan, package, and ship final documentation and client mail.
- Manage orders and communicate with customers in managed annual report services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of two years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to integrate information from multiple sources accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience gathering, researching, and analyzing data.
- Ability to communicate effectively with state/county agencies, CT offices, the IRS, and a diverse customer base.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to independently manage assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Pay
$29,200.00 - $48,900.00 USD. This role is eligible for a bonus. The range is based on the primary location of the position; actual base salary may vary by skills, experience, and hiring location.
