About the role

As a Customer Service Manager at Applied Industrial Technologies, you will collaborate with customers to find products and services, solve customer needs, and build ongoing business relationships. You will manage and lead/participate in day-to-day service center operations, report directly to the General Manager, hire, train, and develop service center personnel, manage internal service center operations to meet/exceed P&L objectives, ensure customer and shipment metrics are met, review and complete monthly reports, and maintain high levels of customer relations. This position requires 2+ years of sales or customer service leadership experience in a business-to-business transactional environment, supervisory/management experience preferred, written and verbal communication skills, computer skills including Excel, analytical skills, inventory management experience, industrial sales/distribution experience, and a clean driving record/MVR.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers to find products and services, solve customer needs, and build ongoing business relationships.
  • Manage and lead/participate in day-to-day service center operations.
  • Report directly to the General Manager.
  • Hire, train, and develop service center personnel.
  • Manage internal service center operations to meet/exceed P&L objectives including inventory, AR / DSO, AP.
  • Ensure customer and shipment metrics including time to fill, expediting orders, and quoting are met.
  • Review and complete monthly reports as well as oversee petty cash balancing.
  • Maintain high levels of customer relations.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years sales or customer service leadership experience in a business-to-business transactional environment. Supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, including English grammar.
  • Computer skills including Excel.
  • ERP / SAP experience a plus.
  • Analytical skills, inventory management experience preferred.
  • Industrial sales/distribution experience a plus.
  • Clean driving record/MVR.

Pay

The typical estimated total compensation for this position is $70,000 - $75,000 per year. This includes salary $60,000 - $65,000 based on experience. There are monthly and annual bonus opportunities based on performance.

Schedule

This position is expected to be performed on site.
