Responsibilities
- Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking flights
- Maintain computerized passenger boarding systems
- Provide assistance to customers with special needs, such as wheelchair users and unaccompanied minors
- Modify customer flight itineraries and seat assignments as necessary
- Operate the Jetway
- Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent customer service and meet departmental goals
Requirements
- Successfully complete the Gate Agent training course
- Lift up to 70 pounds
- Work all shifts, including weekends, nights, holidays, and irregular hours
Qualifications and Competencies
- Completion of a training course
- Able to meet company goals and customer expectations in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous airline experience
- Experience working as a front-line customer service provider
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
Physical Requirements
- Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, and climbing stairs
- Handle objects weighing up to 70 pounds
- Assist passengers with disabilities, including pushing wheelchairs
Job Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and clear driving record
- Clear 10-year Criminal History Records Check
- Pass a drug screen as required
- Proof of high school or GED completion
- At least 18 years of age
