Customer Service Gate Agent (Full-Time)

We are excited to have you join our passionate team at Piedmont Airlines. Our mission is to provide industry-leading service to our customers and airline partners. As a Customer Service Gate Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient boarding process.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking flights
• Maintain computerized passenger boarding systems
• Provide assistance to customers with special needs, including wheelchair arrangements and unaccompanied minors
• Modify customer flight itineraries and seat assignments as necessary
• Operate the Jetway
• Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional customer service and meet corporate objectives

Requirements

• Successfully complete the Gate Agent training course
• Lift up to 70 pounds
• Work all shifts, including weekends, nights, holidays, and irregular hours

Qualifications and Competencies

• Successful completion of training course
• Able to meet company goals and customer expectations in a high-energy environment
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous airline experience
• Previous front-line customer service experience
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs

Physical Requirements

• Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs
• Handle objects up to 70 pounds
• Assist passengers with disabilities, including pushing wheelchairs

Job Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clear driving record
• Clear 10-year Criminal History Records Check
• Pass a drug screen as required
• Proof of high school or GED completion
• Minimum 18 years of age
