Customer Service Gate Agent (Full-Time)

About the role

We are excited to have you join our passionate team of professionals at Piedmont Airlines. Our mission is to provide exceptional service to our customers and airline partners, and we are looking for a dedicated individual to join our Ground Handling Department as a Customer Service Gate Agent.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking flights
• Maintain computerized passenger boarding systems
• Provide assistance to customers with special needs, including wheelchair arrangements and unaccompanied minors
• Modify customer flight itineraries and seat assignments as necessary
• Operate the Jetway
• Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent customer service and meet corporate objectives

Requirements

• Successfully complete the Gate Agent training course
• Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds
• Willing to work all shifts, including weekends, nights, holidays, and irregular hours

Qualifications and Competencies

• Completion of a training course
• Able to meet company goals and customer expectations in a dynamic environment
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous airline experience
• Experience working as a front-line customer service provider
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs

Physical Requirements

• Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, and climbing stairs
• Handling objects weighing up to 70 pounds
• Assisting passengers with disabilities, such as pushing wheelchairs

Job Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clear driving record
• Clear 10-year Criminal History Records Check
• Pass a drug screen as required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
