Customer Service Engineer - Diagnostics/Lab - Seattle, Washington

Service Area – Seattle, WA

Responsibilities

• Service Diagnostics Equipment in the Seattle, WA area. The Customer Service Engineer level will be based on prior experience.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all Siemens Healthcare systems at customer sites with minimal supervision.
• Deliver timely and effective repairs as well as adequate training of operators to ensure optimal system performance, resulting in superior customer satisfaction.
• Manage financial performance within your territory, meeting or exceeding budget for revenue generation, expense control, and inventory management.
• Manage company assets including a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, and inventory parts.
• Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, and perform necessary administrative duties accurately.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma; technical Associate Degree or equivalent preferred.
• 3-5 years' experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments.
• Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and a good driving record.
• Proficiency in the use of tools and service test equipment, with the ability to work both individually and in an established team setting.
• Proficiency in all necessary network applications and tools (including but not limited to eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, NAM Customer Service website—Engineer Tools).
• Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance, and modifications on Diagnostics Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• General understanding of the principles of electricity, power supplies, and grounding.
• Experience in testing, repairing, and maintaining capital medical equipment.
• Demonstrated excellent judgment in customer relations and in managing company resources.
• Strong competency in instrument systems technology including mechanics, electrical, chemistry, and software technology; experience with electronics, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Lifting 50 lbs (floor to above waist/head).
• Walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting.
• Sitting, squatting, standing work.
• High-reach, fine grasping manipulation.
• Good vision and ability to work alone.

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $66,980 - $92,092. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. If this is a commission-eligible position, the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

This role is governed by our Fleet Safety Policy. To be eligible for employment, applicants must hold a valid driver’s license in the state where they reside and may not have any prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations (unless such a restriction is prohibited by state/local law).

Position must have full access to Siemens Healthineers' client sites to perform the essential functions of this position. Many clients require Siemens Healthineers employees and representatives to meet certain Vendor Credentialing requirements before they will be allowed access to their sites. These requirements vary by client and may include, but are not limited to: proof of valid identification (photo, driver's license, SSN), criminal background checks, drug screens, immunizations (COVID-19, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus), annual TB testing, and healthcare training.
