Customer Service Coordinator - Part-time, Hartsdale, NY
This part-time role will assist One River School of Art and Design in the key areas of new student acquisition and member service. The position is based at our Hartsdale School location.
Schedule
- Weekday afternoons and evenings
- Saturdays and Sundays daytime hours
- 10-20 hours per week

$17-20 hourly rate

One River has developed a new method for teaching art that makes it fun to learn while also producing compelling outcomes. We teach a variety of proprietary classes to students of all ages that build proficiency in drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, cartooning, manga, and more.
The ideal candidate is passionate about art, education, and business, and is an effective communicator with the ability to interact with professional and positive energy.
Responsibilities
- Answer all phone inquiries from current and prospective members
- Assist in opening and closing of the school
- Onboard new students and check-in members to appropriate classes
- Conduct tours of One River School for prospective members
- Support the Education Coordinator in management of the class makeup calendar via Calendly
- Create a strong connection with members and ensure the highest level of customer service
- Ensure all students are picked up by their parents/guardians after class in a timely manner
- Reach parents/guardians of any students who are dismissed from class for any reason
- Process and assist with new student enrollments, cancellations, freezes, and class switches
- Assist instructors and staff with customer service, enrollment, design, marketing, and other related needs
Requirements
- Thoughtful communication skills
- Detail-oriented, self-starter, well-organized, and able to set weekly priorities and goals
- Some weekend availability required
- 1+ year of customer service experience
- 1+ year of previous administrative experience (preferred but not required)
Nice-to-have skills
- Familiarity with G-Suite (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Forms, etc.)
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop)
- Experience with platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and local blogs
- Familiarity with the visual arts world or pursuing a degree in Visual Art, Marketing, Human Resources, or Business Administration
- Interest or experience in art education or museum education
