About the role

Temporary support position in the new business and underwriting departments of a national property & casualty insurance carrier. The Customer Service Coordinator processes applications, contract changes, reinstatements, and cancellations for agency contracts.

The ideal candidate is process-driven, detail-oriented, and possesses exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Processes applications, agent contracting paperwork, licenses, forms, and required information; reviews for completeness and proactively ascertains missing documents.
  • Responds to agent inquiries regarding licensing and appointment status.
  • Handles all OIR agent appointments.
  • Responds to clients, customers, and others regarding insurance policy processing.
  • Prepares agent and client mailings per established processes and procedures.
  • Verifies the accuracy of insurance company records.
  • Contacts agencies and relevant partners to confirm and update website and contract information.
  • Organizes and updates agency files per regulatory and industry requirements.
  • Assists with servicing existing clients.
  • Communicates courteously and professionally with coworkers, management, clients, vendors, and others.
  • Participates in special projects as assigned.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations as well as company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 4-40 Customer Service Representative Licensure preferred but not required.
  • Two years of experience in customer service, office administration, or related field required; insurance processing experience preferred.
  • Experience in the property and casualty insurance market preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, conduct proactive investigations, and negotiate successful resolutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required; experience with industry software and internet research tools preferred.
  • Strong customer service focus and superior communication skills.
  • Results-driven with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized.
  • Collaborative partner; ability to contribute to a positive work environment.

Schedule

9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Tampa, FL 33607 (onsite only)
