Customer Service Coordinator, Disability Access Center
About the role
The Customer Service Coordinator oversees and covers front desk reception duties, including walk-ins, phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication for the department. They also train and oversee student assistants providing relief coverage at the front office, coordinate with Access Coordinators, the ASL/CART Coordinator, and the Director regarding scheduling and communication needs.

Requirements
- Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle (Client Server – Windows), CMS, and other database software systems
- Ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages
- Knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Commitment to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive work environment
Qualifications
- Entry-level knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices
- Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Competence in understanding, interpreting, and communicating procedures, policies, information, ideas, and instructions
- Ability to apply sound judgment, discretion, and initiative in addressing problems
- Confidentiality of department and student records
- Basic arithmetic functions of a transactional nature
- Competence in effectively presenting standard information in writing
- Ability to follow instructions and ask questions when needed
- Interest in working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to train, provide lead work direction, and monitor student assistant receptionists

Pay
Anticipated hiring range at the minimum of the classification range, step 1 ($4,0470 per month)
Schedule
Monday- Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pm. Summer Hours (May - August) will be 7:30am - 4:00pm with a 30 minute lunch.

The Disability Access Center (DAC) offers a wide range of accommodation services that ensure students with disabilities have equal access and opportunity to pursue their educational goals. Working collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and administrators, DAC provides campus-wide consultation and serves as a primary information resource on disability-related issues to the campus community.
