Responsibilities
- Review, research, and organize RFQs (request for quotes).
- Work closely with customers and sales to understand quote and product requirements (quality, timing, prints, revision levels, etc.).
- Develop formal quotes from engineering estimates and sales direction, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
- Communicate with the Sales team regarding quote status and follow-up.
- Enter new orders and amendments into the Sales Order System in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support production planning through timely and accurate assembly of work order packets.
- Monitor progress of RFQs through the quote process, ensuring the best possible turnaround and expediting quotes where appropriate.
- Maintain quote/Purchase Order/RFQ and other files as required.
- Direct incoming calls to the appropriate department/employee.
- Support Customer Service, Product Engineering, and Sales teams on various projects and tasks.
- Maintain leadership standard work.
- Serve as a backup to production and special-order customer service positions.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- 5 years of related customer service experience.
- Aerospace industry experience preferred.
- PC aptitude in a Windows environment (MS Office: Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other software packages.
- Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving techniques to assist in resolving inquiries.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate across all levels of internal management and external customers.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, handle simultaneous work assignments and projects, and drive "Lean" process improvements.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Operations or a related discipline is a plus.
