Customer Service Clerk

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work at our Hatfield, PA Service Center. The primary responsibilities include maintaining a positive relationship with customers, assisting customers and other R & L employees in tracking and monitoring freight movement, using customer retention techniques to ensure customers feel valued and listened to, resolving their issues, and promoting company goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Daily freight tracing with customers
• Aiding other terminals in freight-related issues
• Performing other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Strong communication/telephone skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to deal with potentially stressful situations
• General office and customer service experience
• Basic knowledge or Windows, Outlook and other Microsoft products
• Ability to type 30+ WPM
• PREFERRED: 2+ years of experience as a clerk or similar role in a fast-paced environment
• Freight logistics experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license

Pay

$20.42 per hour

Schedule

Monday - Friday, Various Shifts
